M Digital Multimodal video due (up to 3 minutes)
W Bb post due by noon/ in-class freewrite about reading, discussion about readings
F Analyze videos in class, use Lamdamoo to discuss readings collaboratively
Week 10 March 16-20
Alexander and Rhodes, “Collaboration, Interactivity, and the Derive in Computer Gaming”
Gee, What video games have to teach us about learning and literacy.
Halbritter, “Mics: What Do Writing Teachers Need to Know about Audio?” Chapter 4
Chion, “Projections of Sound on Image,” and “The Three Listening Modes”
M Bring 3 to 5 seconds worth of video or sound (in class work on Digital Multimodal composition to create a podcast, YouTube video, Pintrest, Joomag, Blogger etc.)
Individual conferences with each student in class about their final portfolio
W Bb post due by noon, use an media to communicate to discuss this week’s reading collaboratively (can use cell phone, social media platforms, or new media platforms) work on audacity/ Garage band or any other audio editor recorder to work on soundcasts (social play in the classroom)
F freewrite in class using media in class collaboratively in groups, discuss readings, questions or comments about Portfolio/web page design
